Foodie Friday: Berry Parfaits

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had an amazing week! On this Foodie Friday we are making Berry Parfaits! I love parfaits because they are easy and grab-and-go if need be for those hectic mornings! And like Donkey in Shrek said, "Everybody likes parfaits!"


Serves 2

1-1.5 Cups Yogurt (I prefer Siggi's as it is high in protein and low in sugar.)

About 2 Cups Fruit (Berries, Peaches or Nectarines are great!)

1/2 Cup Granola or Cereal (I used Qia Chia, Buckwheat & Hemp Cereal)

Honey and Cinnamon to serve (Optional)

Step 1: Wash & dry fruit.

Step 2: Add about 1/4 cup cut up fruit to bottom of glass (or mason jar to take to-go)!

Step 3: Add a few spoonfuls of yogurt. Each container of 0% milkfat Siggi's has 15g of protein, 9g of sugar and is 110 calories.

Step 4: Add about 1 tablespoon of Qia or chosen granola or cereal. Qia is great because it is high in fiber, protein and omega-3s.

Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4, adding more fruit, yogurt, cereal, then the remainder of fruit on top! Then (if desired) top with honey and cinnamon.

Step 6: Enjoy!
